Corporate Tax Manager 100%

Your contribution
You are responsible for managing the direct tax position of the group in different countries in EMEA, US and Asia.
Tax advisory/compliance
- Provide direct tax advice to business and finance teams.
- Preparation of all tax returns of the Swiss companies for corporate income tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, security transfer tax.
- Support the Company’s global income tax provision and year-end process, including plausibility reviews of tax calculations.
- Coordinate the preparation with external advisors of US federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Support with and preparation of tax risk provisions.
- Manage fund repatriations including withholding tax payments and its reporting requirements.
- Conduct research and analysis of complex tax issues, provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist with international tax audit examinations, including the submission of information and responses. Help defend the Company’s tax positions, providing support and expertise on the issues and ensure effective resolution of audit issues throughout the audit process.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the company, and proactively recommend and implement necessary adjustments.
M&A
- Review tax due diligence reports prepared by external advisors and address major findings of tax due diligences.
- Review asset and share purchase agreements and provide input on how to protect from tax risks.
- Support in the high-level design of post-merger integrations.
Other
- Assistance with tax projects (e.g. Pillar 2 process implementation, structures simplification) as required.
- Partner with other members of the department and across the Group (e.g., Legal and Accounting) to achieve cross-functional and department priorities and initiatives.
- Provide support in the area of environmental/green taxes, as required.
Your background
We’re not just looking for hard skills: We’re looking for people who bring their passion and talent to work. The position requires the following:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Law and the Swiss tax expert diploma (Steuerexperte) or similar education (e.g. LLM Swiss and International Taxation)
- 4+ years’ of experience as a tax manager in a MNE or in a large public accounting firm.
- Advanced Excel skills. Willingness to learn SAP.
- Ability to work independently and with a team with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact as part of a team as well as with various external and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
